Corinne Suter (SUI) wins the Super-G race in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, ahead of Nicole Schmidhofer (AUT) +0.43 and her swiss team colleague Wendy Holdener (SUI) +0.70.
Like last week, also today a German athlete won the downhill race in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Viktoria Rebensburg (GER) won her first downhill Worlcup race, ahead of Federica Brignone (ITA) +0.61 and Ester Ledecka (CZE) +0.83.
Alexis Pinturault (FRA) won his 26th Worldcup race, followed by Loic Meillard (SUI) +0.16 and Leif Kristian Nestvold-Haugen (NOR) +0.24.
Local heroe Thomas Dreßen won the today`s downhill race on the Kandahr second was Aleksander Aamodt Kilde (NOR) and third place Johan Clarey (FRA).
The Gudiberg will be in the spotlight in 2022.
On February 26th and 27th 2022 - right after the Olympic Games in Beijing - the famous slope "Gudiberg" will be back in the Worldcup circus with a slalom and a parallelslalom.

Kira Weidle (SC Starnberg) made a wonderful 3rd place after Stephanie Venier from Austria (1st place) and Sofia Goggia from Italy (2nd place). A cheering audience celebrated Kira's victory at perfect weather conditions and an outstanding atmosphere.

Positive snow control confirmed by the FIS! The official take-off clearance was announced by the international ski association FIS for the ladies and as well for the men races at the Kandahar slope.

The DRF air rescue stands for actions such as fast emergency air rescue and safe patient transports by helicopters and ambulance aircrafts. Counting to the leading air rescue organizations in Europe the DRF acts on duty about 38,000 missions a year. Providing an ideal patient supply, the non-profit air rescue organization only works with the most modern helicopters and latest medical devices.
Moreover, the DRF air rescue sets high defaults in the realms of medicine, technology and flight operations. Equipped with about 50 helicopters, spread over 31 stations in Germany and Austria, it helps people in daily need. Counting 9 stations in total (in 2019 already 10) the DRF air rescue is ready to work and operates day and night. Worldwide patient transports with ambulance planes are conducted, if it is necessary for medical reasons.
Together with the Bavarian Zugspitzbahn, the OK team has been working on the Kandahar for two weeks - 6 km of A-nets need to be fixed. Kandahar World Cup 2019 we are getting ready!

The 65th Kandahar Races are over and we can look back on two successful, fair and exciting race weekends in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
This would not be possible without the numerous volunteer´s energetic help, in the valley as well as on the mountain.
